Actors Sued for Access in Santa Monica Mts.

LOS ANGELES (CN) – A couple who own a home in the Santa Monica Mountains northwest of Los Angeles have sued actors Ricky Schroder and Wendie Malick and their spouses to gain rights to an easement across their property.     Jaime and Jane McAllister, in a complaint filed in Superior Court, say they have recorded easements across properties owned by Schroder and Malick in Topanga, California but the actors and spouses Andrea Schroder and Richard Erickson are disputing the McAllisters’ rights to access to local roads from their home.     The McAllisters say they have had actual, adverse use of the easement for more than five years.     The complaint was filed by James Treadwell of Cunningham & Treadwell.
