GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The respective owners of the U.S. and Canadian sides of the Ambassador Bridge claim in federal court that the Michigan Department of Transportation does not have authority to establish routing designations on the bridge because it is privately owned.
The plaintiffs are the Detroit International Bridge Company and the Canadian Transit Company, and the defendant is Kirk T. Steudle, director of the Michigan Department of Transportation.
