(CN) – An unofficial Oscar – and a lawsuit from the State of Minnesota – goes to Bugg’s Place for exploiting a loophole in the state’s anti-smoking law that exempts actors in “a legitimate theatrical performance.” The bar hosts “theater nights” during which it claims its customers and employees “are ‘actors’ in a supposed ‘play’ whose script calls for smoking.” Boo! says the state, in Dakota County Court.
