Attorney spared criminal contempt despite ‘theatrics’

BALTIMORE — A federal judge in Maryland declined to find a criminal defense attorney, A. Scott Bolden, in criminal contempt after he disclosed confidential responses to a jury questionnaire and called a hearing “bullshit” during a press conference held on the courthouse steps. Bolden apologized to the court the next day.
