SAN FRANCISCO – The Ninth Circuit on Thursday struck down**** $2.7 million in bad-faith sanctions against Goodyear – involving discovery fraud and defective tires – following the Supreme Court’s ruling in April that sanctions must be limited to only fees incurred by the injured party because of the misconduct.
