Bogus cancer cures blocked

FRESNO — The Federal Trade Commission won its lawsuit accusing a dietary supplement maker of misleading consumers by claiming that its products could cure or lessen the symptoms of Covid-19, Parkinson’s disease and cancer. A California federal judge ruled that Golden Sunrise Nutraceutical did not base its claims on any competent and reliable scientific medical tests, studies or clinical trials. The company also violated the FTC Act by falsely claiming that the FDA had reviewed and accepted its products.
