BEAUMONT — An appeals court in Texas ruled that a woman was properly awarded damages in her emotional distress and deceptive trade practices suit against a funeral home that allegedly buried her newborn daughter in a “food cooler wrapped closed with duct tape.” The woman believed her daughter would be buried in a traditional casket.
