LOS ANGELES — Former USC admissions official Hiu Kit David Chong, 36, of Arcadia, faces up to 20 years in prison after admitting in a federal plea dealt that he took $40,000 from international students to get them admitted with “false college transcripts with inflated grades, phony letters of recommendation and fraudulent personal statements."
