Colorado peach farmers drop challenge to ag workers’ rights bill

DENVER — Peach farmers in Colorado voluntarily withdrew their lawsuit against the state, which had alleged that its adoption of an “Agricultural Workers’ Rights” bill violated their civil rights by authorizing “uninvited parties to enter [their] farms and ranches.” A status report claims that the suing employers “no longer believe they can pursue their … complaint under existing law,” but retain their right to challenge it through other means.
