WASHINGTON (CN) – The construction industry may soon face strict controls on pollutants in run-off from large work sites that the Environmental Protection Agency estimates will cost $1.9 billion a year to implement. According to the EPA, run-off from large sites often is polluted by chemicals used in building materials that may contaminate ground water.
