Court Grants Motion To Preserve Torture Evidence

WASHINGTON (CN) – The D.C. Circuit has ordered the U.S. government to “take all measures necessary” to preserve any evidence of torture in the case of a Guantanamo detainee who claims he was abused during interrogation.     The court granted his motion to preserve evidence so that it could have “sufficient opportunity to consider the merits of the motion” for preservation, but noted that its decision “should not be construed in any way as a ruling on the merits of that motion.”      Khan’s motion regarding his interrogation is classified.
