WASHINGTON (CN) – In a patent case over a wheelchair restraint used in mass transit, the **Federal Circuit reduced the damages award to American Seating from more than $2.3 million to about $676,000. The evidence did not show that the patented and unpatented products, sold as a package, were part of a single functional unit. See ruling.
