Court Tosses Class Action Against Wells Fargo

SAN FRANCISCO (CN) – A California appeals court has rejected a class action accusing Wells Fargo of charging unreasonable fees to prepare tax returns, and improperly investing or lending trust assets in order to collect fees for the bank and its affiliates. The court held that the claims are pre-empted by the Securities Litigation Uniform Standards Act. See ruling.
