LOS ANGELES — A federal court in California ruled in favor of actress Jessica Haid on copyright claims relating to her use of clips from the movie “Nowhereland” on her demo reel without permission from the director. The demo reel is transformative, only uses a limited portion of the film and does not interfere with the profitability of the film.
