Disabled Passengers

WASHINGTON (CN) – Foreign airlines now must follow the Air Carrier Access Act, which requires accommodations for disabled passengers, according to Congress and the Transportation Department’s revamped ACAA regulations.     The regulations include new rules on accommodations for passengers who use oxygen and other respiratory assistive devices, and accommodation for deaf or hard-of-hearing passengers.     The ACAA regulations are now in a question-and-answer format, making them more readable. They also incorporate the 10 previous amendments and the department’s interpretations of the rules.
