WASHINGTON (CN) – The National Marine Fisheries Service plans to list the bocaccio rockfish in Puget Sound as endangered, and the yelloweye rockfish and canary rockfish in the Georgia Basin as threatened.The agency found that the greenstriped rockfish and redstripe rockfish are not in danger of extinction. The NMFS requests information regarding their findings and regarding the development of protective regulations and designation of critical habitat in the event these species are listed.
