MIAMI (CN) – The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles sold more than 30 million vehicle records to mass marketers, in violation of the Drivers Privacy Protection Act, federal prosecutors say. The state did it from before May 13, 2003 until at least Oct. 1, 2004, according to the federal complaint.
