TAMPA (CN) – The FTC on Wednesday ordered Ira N. Rubin and the 22 companies he controls to stop offering telemarketing and payment processing “services,” and fined them $8.6 million. Rubin ran Global Marketing Group, a payment processor that illegally debited millions of dollars from U.S. consumers’ bank accounts on behalf of numerous telemarketing scams, the FTC said.
