MANHATTAN (CN) – Gucci claims Guess? is selling clothes and accessories based on Gucci designs, with insignia that violate Gucci trademarks. “In many instances, defendants have replicated entire Gucci product designs, to the point that there appears to be a concerted effort to ‘Gucci-ize’ defendants’ product lines,” according to the federal complaint. Gucci says Guess? is copying its stylized G trademarks, other trademarked designs, and using the trademarks to advertise Guess? clothes. Gucci is represented by Louis Ederer with Arnold & Porter.
