MIAMI (CN) – Michael Laurer, head of two Connecticut-based hedge funds, must pay $62.5 million for fraud charges of which he was convicted last year, the SEC said today (Friday). U.S. District Judge Kenneth Marra ordered Laurer to pay $43.6 million in ill-gotten gains involving Lancer Management Group I & II,, plus $18.9 million in interest.
