House Arrest

The Second Circuit upheld the denial of Steven Donziger’s request to modify the conditions of his pretrial release. The environmental lawyer who represented indigenous Ecuadoreans in a multibillion-dollar lawsuit against Chevron over drilling in the Amazon, has been under house arrest for 600 days as he faces criminal contempt charges.
