Idaho Sued for Medicaid Reductions

BOISE (CN) – Idaho is unfairly reducing Medicaid payments by as much as 50% to providers of “residential habilitation services” for the developmentally disabled, while demanding that they carry out the same duties as before, 13 such providers claim in Federal Court.     Plaintiffs, who contract with Idaho for Residential Habilitation Affiliation services, say the state’s rules are pre-empted by federal law. They want Idaho enjoined from reducing their Medicaid reimbursements. They are represented by James Piotrowski.
