SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (CN) – Illinois will get $3 million from Pfizer for its marketing of Celebrex and Bextra, part of a $60 million settlement with 33 states and the District of Columbia. The states claimed Pfizer misrepresented the drugs’ side effects and promoted Bextra for uses not approved by the Food and Drug Administration. Pfizer did not admit any wrongdoing. Attorney General Lisa Madigan announced Illinois’ share on Thursday.
