BATON ROUGE — A federal judge refused to dismiss a lawsuit from a man whose death-penalty conviction was vacated by the U.S. Supreme Court. The suit contends that a Livingston Parish sheriff’s detective and district attorney intimidated a 14-year-old boy into giving false testimony at trial.
