Inmates Sue State For Late Releases

LOS ANGELES (CN) – Despite severe overcrowding, California keeps inmates locked up in state jails and prisons after they have completed their sentences, a class action claims in Superior Court. They also claim the state failed to reduce sentences, as courts have ordered.     Plaintiffs are represented by Sanford Jossen of Manhattan Beach. The 69-page filing demands lost wages and other damages and relief.
