Judge approves Squaretrade settlement

SAN FRANCISCO — A federal judge in California approved a settlement with Squaretrade over claims the insurer does not provide consumers with a full set of terms and conditions whenever they buy protection plans for consumer goods. The terms appear fair and reasonable and include a $958,000 attorney fees award.
