Judge Rejects NEA's Beef With Democrats

LAS VEGAS (CN) –**  A federal judge today rejected a demand by the **Nevada State Education Association, which wanted the Democratic Party Of Nevada restrained from opening nine “at-large precinct caucuses” at casinos on The Strip during Saturday’s presidential primary caucus. The at-large caucuses are so that service workers – the state’s largest industry – can caucus during the day near their jobs rather than in their home neighborhoods. The NEA claimed this is unfair to other voters. But the judge found that the Democratic Party can set the rules for its caucus. See the complaint.
