(CN) – Supreme Court justice nominee Elena Kagan’s confirmation hearings began Monday. The Senate Judicial Committee plans four days of hearings, with a question-and-answer session scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday. If confirmed, Kagan will replace retiring Justice John Paul Stevens.
