Latvian Elections

Having been elected president of Latvia on May 29, Judge Egils Levits tendered his resignation Monday from the European Court of Justice.

LUXEMBOURG – Following elections last month in Latvia, the European Court of Justice announced the resignation Monday of Judge Egils Levits.

A member of the court since 2004, Levits was elected president of Latvia on May 29.
