Lost evidence

LAS VEGAS — A federal court in Nevada partially issued sanctions against a market whose store manager deleted or lost photos taken of the scene where a shopper slipped and fell, finding that the manager did not intend to deprive the shopper of relevant evidence but that this does prejudice the customer’s case. The trial judge will instruct the jury as to how they should evaluate the claims in light of this spoliation of evidence.
