MANHATTAN (CN) – A federal judge ended four years of litigation by dismissing Louis Vuitton’s claim that Connecticut-based Dooney & Burke violated its trademark on designer handbags. Gross sales of the purses at issue – Vuitton’s 33-color bag designed by Takashi Murakami, and D&B’s 9-color “It” bag – total nearly a quarter of a billion dollars.
