MANHATTAN — A New York federal judge dismissed tort claims against the Chinese manufacturer of a compound miter saw that malfunctioned, amputating the user’s hand. He sued the exclusive manufacturer of the Ryobi-branded saw, but the firm lacks minimum contacts with New York in particular — rather than the U.S. in general — to establish jurisdiction.
