AKRON (CN) – In a tragic accident, a man claims his mother choked to death when the cord on her “Health Watch personal response system” pendant strangled her when she fell out of her wheelchair. Betty Lambert’s head and neck remained suspended in the air as she strangled after the fall, her son says. The “personal response system” is meant to transmit calls for help from old people who live alone. Defendants are Health Watch Holdings, Health Watch, Info Line, and Life Line of Akron. Steven Seeley, Betty Lambert’s executor, is represented in Summit County Court by R. Craig McLaughlin of Mayfield Heights.
