Microsoft & Sony Accused Of Violating Patent In Video Game Controllers

DETROIT (CN) – Microsoft ‘s Xbox and Sony ‘s Playstation 2 controllers violate three Michigan inventors’ 1994 patent on a remote-control video game controller, and while preparing for trial after being sued for this in 2004, and losing a motion for summary judgment, Microsoft and Sony willfully repeated the infringement in their Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 games, the inventors say. The inventors – Peter Hochstein, Jeffrey Tenenbaum** and Harold Milton Jr.** – want the new infringements adjudicated in this lawsuit, not the original one, which is scheduled for trial in August.
