Missouri River minerals

WASHINGTON — The District of Columbia Circuit ruled that North Dakota has a right to intervene in a dispute with three tribes over mineral leases in the Missouri River riverbed that were worth over $116 million in royalty payments in 2020. North Dakota claims ownership of the riverbed, while the tribes argue it is theirs.
