PASADENA, Calif. – The Ninth Circuit ruled in favor of Sony Pictures on Impex Enterprise’s diversity action alleging Sony breached the parties’ contract by failing to pay it nearly $1 million after the theatrical release of “Wild Oats.”

The court ruled that Impex’s reading of the contract ignores the “particular and specific provision directly addressing payment under the agreement.”
