Navy owes $300K following ship fire

SAN DIEGO — California Marine Cleaning, a subcontractor that cleaned Navy ships in San Diego Bay, won its negligence claim against the federal government and the Navy. A federal court granted the company $305,620 in damages after a billion-dollar amphibious assault ship caught fire, destroying their equipment, in 2020.
