Nazi-Looted Art

MANAHTTAN – An “89-year-old blind” New Yorker has petitioned German art dealer Villa Grisebach Auctions over its sale of two artworks he says the Nazis looted from his grandfather David Friedman.     Petitioner David Toren wants Grisebach to reveal the names of the people to whom it sold the Max Liebermann painting “Basket Weavers” in 2000, and the Franz Skarbiner painting “Nach Hause” in 1995.
