COLUMBIA, S.C. (CN) – A new embarrassment slipped out in the continuing circus involving Gov. Mark Sanford’s affair with an Argentine woman, which began on Sanford’s taxpayer-paid trip to South America. The South Carolina Department of Commerce, which sent documentation of the trip to news organizations, said late Thursday that it inadvertently disclosed a Social Security number in the travel expense report. Courthouse News has complied with the state’s request to kill the link to that document.
