Opioid crisis settlement

OAKLAND, Calif. — The California attorney general announced a $2.37 billion settlement with former opioid maker Allergan over claims it deceptively marketed opioids and encouraged doctors to treat patients showing signs of addiction by prescribing them more opioids.
