FAMILY LAW, ATTORNEY FEES – The state appeals court held that a diamond ring should not have treated as marital property because the wife acquired it before the marriage, the parties did not testify that they understood the ring to be joint property, and the wife wore the ring after it was remounted and resized to fit her finger. Further, the husband should not have been awarded fees because he failed to give his wife the requisite notice. Affirmed in part. See ruling.
