Palestinian nurse’s claims proceed

NEW ORLEANS — A Palestinian VA hospital nurse’s discrimination lawsuit survived the government’s motion for summary judgment. The nurse seeks backpay after she was forced to seek a transfer after she felt unsupported and unsafe when an unruly patient made racist remarks and threatened to kill her. She also plausibly argued harassment from her coworkers, who made comments about her hijab and joked about whether she was making or possessed bombs.
