LOS ANGELES – Fighting fugitive film director Roman Polanski’s legal efforts for reinstatement, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences told a judge Polanski got an opportunity to fight his expulsion from the academy – which still voted to expel him afterward by a two-thirds supermajority.
