NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee House Speaker Glen Casada said Tuesday he will resign in the coming weeks over a scandal involving racist and sexually explicit text messages after his fellow Republican lawmakers delivered a vote of no confidence in him.
Casada, 59, had exchanged the text messages with his former chief of staff several years ago, according to local news reports.
