MERCED, Calif. — A Foster Farms chicken processing plant in California must supply face masks to workers, conduct temperature and health screenings before anyone can enter the plant, and follow other precautions to protect employees from Covid-19, a Merced County judge ruled Wednesday. More than 400 employees have contracted the virus since June, according to a complaint filed by the United Farm Workers of America.
