Rape by officers never investigated?

JACKSON, Miss. — The Mississippi city of Magee and its police officers were unable to convince a federal court to dismiss civil rights complaints brought by a traveling New Mexico mother who says she was “orally raped” and sodomized by two police officers at a police checkpoint, while a third cop stayed with her two sons, ages 9 and 5. “In the face of these harrowing allegations,” the city and its police chief did not investigate the mother’s reports of sexual assault. “They did not even refer the matter to any criminal investigative authority.”
