Removed without cause

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — A federal court in Puerto Rico granted a preliminary injunction to the appointed members of the territory’s Financial Oversight and Management Board, who were terminated by President Donald Trump. The president has the authority to remove members for cause, but they were not given any explanation of cause or any opportunity to be heard.
