DETROIT – A class of shareholders filed a federal lawsuit to stop a vote on metal parts maker Metaldyne’s proposed $1.6 billion sale to American Axle & Manufacturing, claiming they don’t have enough relevant financial information for an informed vote.
The lead plaintiff is Stephen Bushansky, and the defendants are Metaldyne Performance Group Inc., George Thanopoulos, Kevin Penn, Loren Easton, Michael Fisch, Nick Bhambri, William Jackson, Jeffrey Stafeil and John Pearson Smith.
