WASHINGTON (CN) – Supreme Court Justice David Souter is expected to resign in June after the court completes its spring session. Souter, 69, is reported to be sick of Washington and wants to return to his native New Hampshire while he is still young enough to enjoy it. President Obama’s replacement for Souter – who turned out to be more liberal than President George H.W. Bush expected when he nominated him – is not expected to change the balance of the court.
