SAN FRANCISCO – Young immigrants who were abused, neglected or abandoned by their parents won the right to seek special immigrant juvenile status – and a pathway to legal residency – Wednesday, after a federal judge blocked a Trump administration policy making it difficult for people over age 18 to obtain the status.
